Gumbo Fest 2008

Get ready for another great Gumbo Fest

The smell of spices, folks playing frisbee and football, and all the ice cream sandwhiches you can eat.......must be Gumbo Fest time again.  Gumbo Fest 2008 will be held this year on September 17th in Keeny Circle, right beside Bogard Hall.

As usual, we'll provide all the gumbo, drinks, and ice cream you can eat, all you have to do is show up.  Your ticket for the event is the $10.00 Gumbo Fest t-shirts available for sale on the second floor of Bogard Hall.  Shirts will be offered for sale during the weeks leading up to the event. 

Special events for this year are the yearly organizational fair and some new competitions sponsored by the National Society of Black Engineers.  The organizational fair will feature all of the student engineering societies in the college to give freshman an idea of what is available to them.  The new competitions sponsored by NSBE will be a Boe-Bot challenge and a Flight Contest.  More information will be released before the event about these new competitions.

Get ready for a fun way to meet other people, eat some great food, and more importantly PLUG YOURSELF INTO THE COLLGE!
